James Courtney has added another feather to his cap, with the 2010 Supercars champion revealing his latest venture — real estate.

Courtney, who joined the Blanchard Racing Team this year, is three rounds into his 19th consecutive full-time season in Supercars.

In a near two-year career in the main game, Courtney has dabbled in commentary, and has also acquired a motor dealer licence.

On Friday, Courtney revealed he has since acquired a real estate licence, and is active in his local Gold Coast area.

“Over the last couple of years and I suppose last year more so, I started to think about what I could do with my time post-racing, also with the free time that we have,” he said in a video posted to social media.

“I did my car dealership and dealer license and got that and then I was like, 'Hey, that was easy. Let’s see what else we can do.’

"I did my real estate one and I'm just having a great time doing stuff with real estate and really starting to get into it and enjoy it.

“So, if anyone's got a house they want to sell… let me know and we'll see if we can come up with something for you guys. Just excited about the next stage.”

While racing is their profession, several drivers have expanded their skillsets, with championship leader Will Brown himself a used car salesman in Toowoomba.

Lee Holdsworth, a long-time rival of Courtney, has since moved into commercial real estate with CBRE.

Among others, Andre Heimgartner has a background in finance, Jack Le Brocq has a mechanical apprenticeship, Thomas Randle owns a racing simulation company, and James Golding is a DJ.

Nick Percat also runs a karting team, and Cameron Hill owns a Formula Ford team.

Courtney is 17th in the standings heading to Perth, where he has scored podiums in the last two visits to CARCO.com.au Raceway. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
